Welcome to Shalima’s Therapy Room

I offer a calm, compassionate, and confidential space for adults seeking support with emotional wellbeing, identity, relationships, and life transitions.

How I Can Help

At Shalima’s Therapy Room, therapy is not about being fixed — it’s about being understood.

I work integratively, tailoring each session to you as a whole person, drawing on psychological insight, emotional depth, and culturally sensitive practice. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or carrying long-standing emotional pain, therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and gently make sense of what’s going on beneath the surface.

What makes my work different is the emphasis on relationship, safety, and cultural & faith awareness. Sessions are paced carefully, led by you, and grounded in respect for your story, identity, and lived experience.

CJ

When I first started working with Shalima, I wasn't sure what was holding me back but I was struggling with a lot of emotional difficulties and feeling generally disconnected from life. Shalima helped me to gently uncover my problems and guided me to a better understanding of my thoughts and emotions, allowing me to reconnect with my past and present in a healthy and fulfilling way. She is a warm, kind and patient therapist who helped me through some very difficult times and I am incredibly grateful to her for enabling me to develop into the person I am today.
